Playing Experience

  • Played division 1 interclub tournaments conducted by Qatar Cricket Association representing Lions Cricket Club, Doha, Qatar from 2013 to 2015.
  • Played cricket for Lanka Lions Cricket Club, Emirates Bank and Lloyds Bank teams in UAE division 1 & 2 tournaments from 1998 to 2011.
  • Played first class cricket in Sri Lanka from 1993 to 1998 and represented Kandy CC, Matale CC and BRC in interclub division 1 cricket tournaments.
  • Represented Hatton National Bank Ltd, Sri Lanka in Mercantile “A” & “B” Division tournaments.
  • Toured and played in England, South Africa, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, Holland, Thailand, Dubai and Qatar
  • Played Interschool division 1 cricket tournaments in Sri Lanka from 1983 to 1992.

 

Memorable moments in playing cricket:

  • Scoring all-time record for highest individual innings of 252 in Sri Lanka’s division 1 Inter School U19 Cricket Tournament in 1990.
  • Scoring all-time record for the fastest century (in 54 balls) in Sri Lanka’s division 1 Inter School U19 Cricket Tournament in 1991.
  • Getting selected for the Sri Lankan U19 National Pool in 1991.
  • Being member of Sri Lankan Inter Club Division 1 Champions, BRC in 1996.
  • Being a member of UAE Inter Club Division 1 Champions, Lanka Lions CC and receiving the Best Batsman award in 2002.
  • Being a member of the Lloyds Bank Cricket Team which has won the first ever Dubai Super Sixes in 2010.
